Here's a few tender morsels of a reality our darling Big Media would shy upon if it wasn't for a few intrepid journalists who insist in still doing their job.

The US Congress has been trying for 30 years to get a handle on Pentegon spending, with no success. It's a vast sink-hole for money, and the private armaments corporations, with the help of retired generals and admirals, are robbing the US people. They are hired killers of foreign peoples.

Might just be me but any nation using mercenaries is just a scary thought. Do these guys have to follow the same rules as the military?

    Mercenaries?

If a country can buy weapon systems from another country and pay for instruction in their use it is a short step to mentoring and in some cases contracting officers.

I had no problem working for Halliburton in Croatia. Mentoring. Security wasn't a problem. A company of legionnaires was nearby...

I consider it to be criminal for civilian contractors to be driving unarmoured trucks (in iraq) with no means of self defence.

Blackwater is another matter. I don't class them mercenaries so much as loose cannons. They don't seem too popular anywhere.
