No not the in-and-out issue, but Global is reporting that Conservative MP Gary Goodyear from Cambridge is in a little hot water for handling of election expenses in 2004.

Wow. How desperate for a scandel can you get. That's almost $4k. My god.
I'd bet that's as much as those Liberal senatators in Cuba spend on dinner.

    OH MY HEART BE STILL!

Nah it would not pay for the maitre'di. It's half of that.......less than $2,000.

Must be a slow week for scandals.

Sorta like the porn on the laptop scandal.

Actually there are a number of ridings where the Conservatives were in controvention of election Canada rules and this is a serious matter. If this whole thing boils over, there could be charges and should they be found guilty there are stiff penalties. You can be fined and jailed in addition, the person can be expelled from their seat and forbidden to run for five years or more, an eternity in politics. Slow season for scandals or not, this thing could become big news as the days and weeks continue

i agree this barely counts as anything major by any standards and from short artilce all they were accused of doing was excepting donation from landlord who rented office to them .

at most a minor mistake but nothing major my any standards .

That all being said, if it's wrong, it's wrong, and the guy should be made to repay it.
