I am at the point right now where I am sick of the politicking in this minority gov't, I dont care who at this point but I want a majority, since I am tired of going to the polls for elections just to have another election 2 years later when opinion shifts. Stop all of this campaigning and run this country!!!!

Like it's ok to criticise the current govt. If they give out, they get blamed, if they don't give they get blamed the same. So what is it? Fuck, this current gov't is trying to do some good and gets criticised for it ! WTF

    C'mon people !!!!

"This is a democracy and spending by the government has to be approved by Parliament," said Pothier. "The only politics being played here is by Mr. Layton."

And the critic is the NDP. Their solution to everything is to shut down industry and employment with corporate and payroll taxes. BOOB RAE nearly destroyed Ontario. Businesses fled to the US and Mexico.

This is such a dumb line of thought.
This is a lot of money and it needs a vote in the house of commons to authorize. It's also one party platform so who would guess it's dependant on that one party getting in. The other parties are definately welcome to copy the plan if they win the election.

Get used to minority government it will be with us for some time. Harper might survive another round and after that he is toast, but more likely, people are no longer mad at the liberals, the only reason the Tories formed a government anyway. See the Conservatives need strong leadership but the liberals don't as people see that party differently. I still believe the Libs will form the next minority and the NDP will bash them for awhile. I am not a liberal but I do believe the Conservative government style is about done for another twenty years.

thats funny some people are geting sick of elections , but not surprising either since there have been so many .

but a majority is unlike at this time , still a chance harper might get one but opposition will put up a strong fight to avoid that possibility . and dion still thinks he has a chance of actually winning election , either were all wrong or dion is doing better than we think and what other political observers think.

No way, I love minority governments. We got health care and CPP from minorities. We got SSM in the last minority. This minority has kept Harper on a short leash (his sentate deforms have been stalled, and he wasn't able to reverse SSM). Personally, I love voting. I love exercising my rights. I don't get all the complaints about voting in winter.

    Bring on the minorities!

i agree with anounymous on this one , the governemnt has tried to help the situation but only got blamed and critised for the fund .
if liberals had announced the same fund i guarantee liberal premiers wouldn't of critised it .

Harper gave $14 billion to "reduce the national debt." Now we are into a budget deficit. He may havew graduated from university but his brain is still in high school.
After the recent premiers meeting Premier Williams described Harper in this way:
Mr. Williams said. "To be told that it's got to be over supper, officials aren't allowed in, there's no preparations going on between the governments and their bureaucracies. And then you have to be out by the Friday night movie. I mean, how can you get anything done? A 'Weekend at Bernie's' might be more productive," he added, referring to the 1989 movie about two men forced to pretend their murdered boss is alive at a weekend beach party."

THE TORIES ARE ONLY TRYING TO BUY A MAJORITY... PLAIN AND SIMPLE ... IF YOU THINK THEY ANNOUNCE TAX CUTS AND GIFTS. IT IS TO HELP THE RICH AND BIG BUSINESS... DONT FORGET THEY ARE A minority government trying to survive.. the people of canada can see through this...there is nothing done (without cost ) to help the middle classes.. PC stands for preserve and conquer.. it also stands for parts of the male and female anatomy.... Harper is a A hole and his holding canadians hostage to blackmail wont sit too well..
