Hey asshole, it was the company itself that did this and it was under the Conservative Government. So shut up with the liberal crap for once.

Yes, a great investment in Canadians, technology and national pride being allowed to flee the country under the Conservative watch.

This isn't good, kill the deal now FFS. What was that Harper was talking about before... that we should protect strategically important Canadian industries?

    He's channelling Saskwatch2.

I'd like to add my 'Fuck That' as well. The sale should be blocked, the asking price paid by the government, and it should become part of the Canadian Space Agency.

Wow, that did not take long. Both real parties slammed for the same thing. Only at CKA.

    Well done.

Here is a thought. If this bothers you so much, contact your MP. Now I realize that it would require sitting down and actually thinking, but give it a shot.

This deal should be immediately vetoed.

Radarsat-2 has the potential to play a vital role in monitoring Canada's coastlines. Our American "friends" were aware of this and thus refused to launch it - after some delay the Canadian Space Agency finally cut a deal with the Russians.

This company, for the sake of national security and sovereignty, should absolutely not fall into American hands.
