Australian mining magnate Gina Rinehart�s Hancock Prospecting Pty is hoping a charm offensive, from annual fundraising parties to local refurbishments at a golf course, will help overcome opposition to a massive new coal mine in Canada�s Rocky Mountains.

    I'm sure BS 'opportunities' like this is one of the reasons for the divesture of so many parks along the Rockies.

    I noted before that many of the parks that the UCP decided to defund, then possibly sell because they weren't profitable, run near many of the areas of the foothills that are also geologically prone to valuable resources.

    I didn't see any parks in the East or North proposed for sale.
