After flip-flopping on basic information about COVID-19 and expecting to be cut some slack for it, the federal government is now proposing legislation that might punish any Canadian for doing just what they first did.

And while I applaud this move as necessary especially given we've been lied to by the Red Chinese and the WHO from the start of the pandemic. I still can't help but wonder why the accomplices suddenly had a rush of shit to the brain and decided the truth is better than the misinformation they've been feeding us for months?

I'd like to live in a world where no one would try to save themselves from COVID by drinking bleach, eating Tide Pods, or shelling out hundreds of dollars to a snake-oil preacher like Jim Bakker for colloidal silver extract. Unfortunately this world is definitely immune to common sense. As such the governments have to step up and save idiots from themselves. The charlatans and conspiracists have to be hammered down on, and hard. If they aren't they'll end up leaving a bigger body count behind them than the infection will.

Come on Thanos admit it, you snapped your fingers while thinking about drinking a corona and the best way to kill off half the planet.

So long as people insist on spreading bullshit like the virus was 'manufactured' or that 5G networks spread it; the only way to prevent the secondary damage may be a form of laws along the lines of libel law to make the people spreading it responsible for the damage they do.

The two stories aren't equitable and have nothing to do with each other.

There's good reasoned support with fact and science behind it to acknowledge the possibility the Wuhan virus escaped from a virology lab in Wuhan. It's why people from the Washington Post to the President of the United States are acknowledging it as something worth investigating.

You calling that fake is fake news.
