Each year, thousands of high school students in Alberta earn Rutherford Scholarships to help them pay for post-secondary tuition. So, many were shocked last summer when the application process didn't open on schedule on Aug. 1.

    Like I wrote, bullshit excuse. The Scolarships server never went offline in that time period.

    It wasn't the government employees that lied in this case - it was the right wing UCP politicians (the Minister of Advanced Education and his political staff) who did the lying.

    The UCP is about ideology only. Any competence at mere governance is very much a lesser priority with them. With this way of thinking I fully expect that they'll be challenging the likes of the Trump Regime for most fuck-ups committed in the shortest period of time.

    You got what you voted for, Alberta. Can't blame the wads in Ottawa for what's going to happen for the next four years. :|
