Tired Central American migrants rested in a southern Mexico town while their representatives tried to negotiate bus transportation hundreds of kilometres ahead, but then came the bad news: They'd be walking again before dawn Thursday.

Another reason why the world needs the CBC. There is so much rhetoric and fake news on this, it's good to have a seasoned reporter on the ground, right there and reporting the facts.

I've read in addition to elements of the US military and National Guard being deployed, civilian militias will also be deploying along the border.

If they have to walk, they will miss the midterms.

    That won't do at all.

Need some private money to the rescue !

To be fair, this is how Posse comitatus is supposed to work.

True, but they won't get to the border for weeks yet. It's a long walk. And these caravans aren't anything new. Trump is just being Trump, sewing the seeds of division, hoping people will vote Republican in the upcoming elections.

The US was always built on the need for the disadvantaged people to do the hard work, and the citizens to get the benefit. They need these people to help keep the economy rolling.

Really. The CBC is so far left it is almost in the stratosphere of leftism. I don't blame Americans one bit for looking askance at this latest attempt by a bunch of people wishing to invade their country instead of staying in their own and fighting for change. Why should Americans be forced to take in these people? And, where does this end?

I'm sorry you think facts have a 'left' bias. You can go back to your regularly scheduled diet of rhetoric and fear now. Especially since the article is plastered with "Associated Press" all over it.

See, there are the telltale signs of the right wing. "Invade" "Forced". Another victim of the propaganda campaign. It's odd that this caravan, coming just before the US midterms is such a big deal, but all the others get ignored.

A few thousand unarmed people isn't an invasion force of ~350 million. No one is forcing anyone to do anything, but then again are US Citizens going to plant and harvest the crops, or clean the toilets? No, they'd rather hire these people to do it, and they will do those jobs willingly and cheaply.

    Yeah?

Any word from the the "seasoned reporter" on who's paying for the buses?

I mean if he's right there...surely he's curious on who's financing this whole mess, isn't he?

That would seem like an obvious question.

The CBC. We don't ask the questions we don't want to hear the answers to.

    It's literally the first sentence.

Or here, a different Associated Press story on the 'Right wing' ShawGlobalNews:

At a church in Arriaga that opened its grounds to women and children Friday, Ana Griselda Hernandez, 44, of Mapala, Honduras said she and two friends travelling with children had decided to pay for a bus ride from Pijijiapan, because the 4-year-old and 5-year-old would have never covered the 60-mile distance.

Migrants, who enter Mexico illegally every day, usually ride in smugglers trucks or buses, or walk at night to avoid detection.
