South Africa to change constitution to allow redistribution of land

The divel will be in the details. This could be a move to pull support away from Malema. Of course, the Africans who should be getting deeds to their land are in the tribal homelands where it looks unlikely.

At this stage Trump definitely should go out to appease all the white supremacists and do exactly what Australia offered a few months back - asylum, refugee status, and eventual citizenship for all South African whites who need/want to get the hell out of there as soon as they can. Seriously, we all know what's going to eventually happen there so there's no more time to dawdle on any of this.

I don�t see this as any different from any ither group of Africans seizing wealth and power from each other. Funny people wouldn�t care about this if it was a redistribution from one group of black Africans to another, but since it�s from white to black its �genocide�.

South Africa has always been an undemocratic and oppressive �shithole country� where 91% of the population lived in oppressive squalor and mandatory servitude to the ruling 9%. South Africa may very well go the way of Zimbabwe but only thing that might change here is the skin colour of some of the 9% as the wealthy whites emigrate and local bigmen fill their places, but life for most of the population will continue to be the same.

Maybe. We�ll have to see. South Africans remain uncertain about the real significance of this move and whether it will mean a Mugabe-style disaster or not. That�s certainly possible.
