The Kremlin will support anything that inhibits our energy production to keep us and our allies as dependent as possible on Russian energy.

Hmmm. Where's the leftists to demand that this Russian meddling and collusion be investigated?

So you'd investigate lobbyists in general, or only when they interfere in elections?

I wouldn't and I'm not trying to impeach a President because Russia has an internet troll army.

I wouldn't and I'm not trying to impeach a President because Russia has an internet troll army.

So what's the difference if activists get money from Russia, China or some other government, or if they get it from a multinational corporation? Lobbyists are lobbyists, activists are activists. Both are perfectly legal forms of protest and speech. Why would the 'left' call for an investigation into one and not the other?

And the troll army is a different matter than actual in-a-clandestine-hotel-room style election interference, even if they might be related.

What's the difference if Russia tries to influence an election by perfectly legal means?

    Where's the crime?

And if Russia pays lobbyists to agitate for the global warming agenda?

    It's still legal.

The crime lies in lying about helping them do it. Just like the crime of lying about 'having sex with that woman'.

Again, then why would the left call for an investigation into something that's legal?

So how is it Republicans can speak admirably of Russia, claim there's nothing wrong with secretly meeting with them and call for closer ties, while at the same time trying to attack Democrats and liberals for allegedly doing the same thing?

These are likely made-up allegations but if you want to investigate whether a donation to an environmental lobby group made 6 years ago in 2011 came from secret Russian sources I welcome it. I'm not sure there's anything illegal about that but America has a real problem with secret money from billionaires and corporations and badly needs transparency so I say go for it. It's only going to backfire on you anyway as you have to both admit Russia is an enemy while at the same time pretending there's nothing wrong with Trumps secret election dealings with them.

    Please investigate away.

BF, The problem is when you hypocrites get all upset about the Russians maybe helping Trump but you're dead silent when they're caught definitely advancing someone or something you like.

No as I said investigate away and if there's wrongdoing feel free to prosecute. The Republicans are the only hypocrites on the matter.

And just to correct you, so far the Russians haven't been "caught definitely advancing" anyone or anything except Trump.

Russian money flowing to eco-groups - bad
Russian money flowing through the White House and Trump Tower - good
