A new passenger ferry service is available starting Aug. 4 in New Westminster. The service is a pilot project to connect the Quayside and Queensborough neighbourhoods.

What a joke, the only thing really close to the New West end of the ferry is the Westminster Quay public market which is in itself a joke, a pub/liquor store, a small grocery store, a smaller bakery, tea shop and a burger stand. Everything else in town is just too far away to pack your groceries etc. The service will run until Sept. 24 and operates on Friday evenings, Saturdays, Sundays and holiday Mondays. I'll bet dollars to donuts it doesn't last that long!
