You really think the general population will go after him for rubbing her back, making obscene comments, and trying to kiss her but stopping when she told him to leave? You don't think most of the general prison population has come on strong with a woman before?

Well it is. He touched her without consent and continued to do so. But it's pretty mild. The problem with calling that sexual assault, and on the other end calling rape the same thing, is that now when people hear sexual assault they think rapist and think everybody should spend a (brief) life sentence in the general population. An unwanted pat on the butt is something, we shouldn't just dismiss it. But to put it in the same category as rape is just insane. And of course if a woman gave a guy an unwanted pat on the butt, he'd be laughed out of court for bringing a charge.

I don't think this guy has reformed, and this is his third offence. More than prison tho, what he needs is some tough chick he tries it on to give him a swift kick in the nuts.

There must have been a report written before it goes to court, which means she called the cops. Who in her right mind would call the cops on a friend (since he was in her house, I assume he was a friend) while all he does is come on to her too strong? Kick him out, end the friendship and be done with it.

Uptight much??

She asked him to stop about 10 times, so he's not easily dissuaded. I think 30 days is about right in this case, especially since it's his third offense. But better would have been that swift kick in the nuts.

It would have saved the community a lot of money.
