Well the balls in the Liberals court now. They can either honour the will of the people, or ignore it and facethe wrath of the electorate. I'm leaning towards this arrogant ahole ignoring what we want. I'm sure the Campbell recall petition will start soon after.

Yeah right  McShithead didnt' give a crap what the Ontario Tax Payers Federation had to say either, AFTER he got elected that is. And the only reason he's still in, is the opposition candidates were an even WORSE choice than he was in the last election.

And with the Conservative Feds being the ones to push it, do you really think a Conservative Provincial gov't is going to strike it down?
I dunno BC politics at all so maybe you do have a serious candidate for Premier that will strike it down. I can only hope for the sake of the province, there is.

Nope, the NDP has said they probably wouldn't get rid of it if they are elected. Our only hope is to convince some of the Liberals to vote it down. Barring that the only thing we can do is punish that arrogant SOB for shoving this down our throats. Also the Conservatives aren't responsible for provincial taxation.

Nope, but the HST is their idea IIRC
In either case, I hope Gordo gets what he deserves for implementing it, cuz quite frankly, I'll vote for the devil himself before I vote Liberal at any level again. Unless of course the devil runs as a Liberal

This was a bribe by harper in return for some federal largesse which is more likely gonna be smallesse, I don't see anything for us in BC coming out of it but more tax, that's why they call it bc, ie. bring cash

I dunno, I don't really think i'm against the HST, seems to make sense from these videos for the good of the province. But of course its not positive for me personaly paying more on stuff like strata fees and meals out. But i don't think it will have that big of an impact on me, and the province needs to get money from somewhere to pay for defecit and huge funding shortfalls in education and health which people demand... you can't have both.

We keep getting told that this HST will boost employment, but before the recession we had a labour shortage. So it seems to me our employment problems are caused by a worldwide recession not two sales taxes. We also had a surplus before the recession that paid for everything the taxpayer wanted the government to fund. I'm afraid this HST is nothing but Campbell pandering to his corporate buddies. Just like he pandered to Arnold with his carbon tax. Which I might add has done zero to reduce C02 in BC. Good job Campbell, enjoy your last stint in office.

I'm no lover of corporations but I've got to ask, do corporations pay HST?

Which because of the Recall system in BC may be shorter than the slezoid had planned.

Maybe that's why there's talk about Gordo not having a fall sitting of the Legislature. If he doesn't have a fall sitting there'll be no effective way to stop the HorseShitTax till next spring when he likely figures we, the stupid masses, will have forgotten all about it and he can carry on with his dream of making BC the first Province in Confederation to be run completely by Corporations.
