Typical. Tell the western media what they want to hear then keep on doing whatever you were doing.

Yes typical of the naysayers you are right , not that I believe all that is said. But we have to look at ways to change what it is we do , as it is a big part of the problem . More effort from the multinationals and less crying about cost , they built the polluting device fix it it is your device .

There's nothing positive about China's stance; "No way in hell an outside body is comming into China to read their emmissions."

That's funny, because that's exactly what Canada and most of the West did with Kyoto.
They all said they'd cut emissions and instead just grew them at a slightly slower pace than they would have without Kyoto.

It was a complete success, nothing will be done about a problem that doesn't exist.

China is #1 in the world for pollution and their still building a coal plant every 2 weeks while The father of the green movement, Maurice Strong is still trying to flood the US with cheap Chinese made cars.

If one swallows that whole developed/developing BS story, with China being a country deserving of special treatment, and rights, then maybe the Chinese have a point.
If you don't, or if you expect global, anthropogenic CO2 levels too fall Copenhagen remains farcical.

Ironically, the US actually did reduce emissions after Kyoto and we didn't sign it.

In which case all of the private jets and limousines used at the conference just made things worse.

The same thing was said about cigarette smoke, DDT, PCBs, acid rain and lots of other problems that corporate lobbyists got swept under the rug for decades.

I wonder why oil companies are on side with cap and trade.
