Holy Crap, here we go again. Number 8 in BC, 9 overall in the area!

Interesting about the tsunami theory though.

Funny that we heard nothing about the shoes themselves. All are "running shoes" but shoes are not the same world wide and some brands or batches must have some retail history. For example, of some shoes showed up that were never sold in NA, that would add to the theory that these came from overseas.
It's just too odd that this is a unique BC problem.

Depends upon tides and currents and prevailing weather patterns. I don't recall if the identified remains were locals or not though.

All but one shoe was found in BC, the other was in Washington state. If this is some wash from a tsunami or ocean current, why are we only seeing shoes and not other refuse? Ecolgists and the like tell us much of this all collects in some 'Great Pacific Ocean Garbage Patch' but there's no word of shoes ever being found in that mess. I appreciate that folks don't dig through this crap but this crap is also not washing up on the beaches or rivers of BC either.

If one gang related pig farmer found a unique way of getting rid of bodies, why can't we assume someone came up with another? That makes more sense than accident victims from around the world washing up only on BC's shores.

Maybe. I've seen that garbage patch, however, and you'd be surprised what you'll see there. That being said, although the tsunami theory is interesting, the local ones make more sense.

Mind, if the RCMP would spill the beans a bit more, there'd be a little less speculation.

I would suspect that these are probably illegal immigrants being dumped over the side of the ships transporting them after they died at sea.
