I think the insurer reviewed their policy made some changes and are covering him now.

$1:
As if there weren't enough problems with health insurance companies: a new report reveals that insurance companies now deny coverage to babies that are above the 95th percentile for height or weight after they are born, effectively considering their size a "pre-existing condition."

Those damned details get you all the time. I'm amazed about the stuff that extended health care plans don't cover. It's not hard to understand why people get annoyed if these insurers are their primary source of health care coverage.

Unbelievable... Its a freakin baby. I would be more concerned about a skinny baby than a chubby one...

A pre-existing condition... You know what, EVERYTHING is a pre-existing condition. We NEVER would have gotten that condition, if we didn't exist.

death is a pre existing condition. Once upon a time a large baby was considered something good. Our 5 yr. old is the height and weight of an average 8 yr. old, according to the growth scales(he's been over the 100th percentile since he was about 6 mnths old.), so I guess he'd be ineligible for insurance in the States too.

And I take it he is never sick...
