No reason for him to be locked up. None what so ever.

Too bad the court of public opinion has no standing legal basis.

He broke the law. The law is black and white.

True but it was a crime of passion as they say.. I think he has served enough time.
I believe in euthanasia. I believe that there are circumstances when its right.

If that Holmoka whore can be out wandering the streets, and she poses a danger to others, why not Latimer?

Truly a sad story all around. Shows the failing of having minimum sentences. There should always be a means for leniency when it fits with common sense.

ShepherdsDog ShepherdsDog:

Ruez told you. The law is black and white. Works both ways.
Common sense and common good be damned.

I've never heard murder described as common sense before.

criminal intent is necessary for it to be murder. I don't believe criminal intent existed in Latimer's case. He did what he did truly out of love for his daughter.

But because he felt what he did was done out of compassion, they kept him locked up.

I guess we need two sets of law in Canada then. One for most people, and another for people that do stuff out of love.

No, we need a parole board who can see who would pose a threat to society, should they be released.
