We keep a pad of paper in our rescue truck, so we can jot down license plate numbers of those who really slow us down, then hand them to the RCMP. Whether anything happens, I don't know.
We actually had a guy pass us going up a hill in the passing lane after we had already passed him going to a call Code 3. It's those people who bitch about emergency services taking too long to respond when it's them who need our help.

I hope the RCMP at the very least send a written warning to the licenced owner of the vehicle. As if your job isn't difficult enough without dealing with jerks like this.
One of the worst examples I've witnessed of ignorant drivers was when I was waiting to walk across a busy intersection. An ambulance was coming eastbound on one street and all traffic at the intersection came to a halt. One asshole decided he "had time" to drive southbound across the intersection so proceeded to do so right in the path of the ambulance. Thank God the ambulance driver saw him at the last moment and swerved
hard to avoid a collision. Asshole kept on going of course. At least if the worst had happened there would have been many witnesses to testify to see that jerk never drove again, unless of course his stupidity killed him!
