The child should have been put into care until a full investigation was done and the parents mandated to participate in an intense parenting group.

It looks like more than just the parents need to be investigated.

This is absolutely disgusting.

Wow.........you can take away someone's car for going 50kph over the speed limit, but you can't take away a child who's life may be in danger.

You can pick your friends.........but you can't pick your family.

I can understand the parent's mistake. See, they thought that the cold air was merely a delusion because, after all, everyone knows that with global warming it isn't ever going to get cold again. That baby should've been toasty warm out in that car. If anything, it was pure dreck that the police were worried about the baby freezing when any ass knows that they should have worried more about the baby dying from the effects of global warming.

You might see that as sarcasm, TG ;-)

This is completely nuts. Endanger a child is no problem (well, a $ 151 problem) but telling the police officer he is an ass is more expensive.

It is disgusting they left that baby in the car. They are totally unfit parents.

But insulting an officer costs more than endangering a baby??? :? :?

It seems that Canada has a problem with the outsize egos of her constabulary.

We just had the same thing pop up in British Columbia earlier this year when some RCMP folks decided to fart a new firearms law out their ass and then enforce it and, when questioned, their commanding officer was more offended at his officers being questioned than he was upset that they were making up laws on their own.

No wonder your government doesn't want you people to have guns. They don't want you to be able to protect yourselves from the police.

Insulting a police officer is worse than endangering an infant?

I was thinking the same thing. And you can get fined for insulting an officer? That is ridiculous.

Yep, you can get fined for insulting an officer. But you can walk up and vomit on his shoes for free if you play it off right.

I think they should take the dad down the police station and give him some, um, attitude adjustment.

I hereby coin Hurley's Law:

"As the length of an internet discussion approaches infinity, the probability of a global warming reference approaches unity."

Consider it coined! Now go do a Wiki page on it.
