All dogs regardless of size and breed will go after a rodent to the death. It's in their blood. My sister's Scottie was barely a year old when it murdered a skunk that got in the backyard one night. It would have done the same on any rodent ranging in size from a mouse to a porcupine. Dogs are gonna dog.
