All I can say is for a long time now I've seen muslims on tv burning the US flag, hanging effiges of presidents, holding signs saying death to America. They cheer on the pepole doing this. Yet they are going to scream and rant over one Koran being burned. I do find that an interesting response after their years of provication.

All of that is okay with some people, don't you know? It's only bad when non-muslims do things that upset the muslims who act like petulent ten-year old children having a perpetual temper tantrum.

Once agin, I think burning a koran is perfectly fine when it is also allowed to burn Bibles, US flags, and to perform other acts of sacrilege against icons of Western culture.

Pass a Constitutional amendment to prohibit asstard liberal 'artists' from desecrating religious symbols and I'd be fine with that.

Until then, islam should not have special treatment over anyone else and if they don't like it then too f*cking bad.

I find it quite strange that we have Presidents and Prime Ministers begging this loony not to burn a book. It's sad and very telling that that they feel pressured to do this.

I'm sure there are a few thousand more Yank loonies that are out buying Qu'rans to burn right now because of all the attention.

i find this whole thing to be a little ridiculous and a huge distraction from real issues. i think the bart simpson guy is right, if one holy book can be burned, so can the other. so that rules out "hate speech" because christianity is literally ridiculed on television, films, and print on a daily basis. If some obscure pastor in gainesville florida with a grand following of FIFTY people wants to go out to their local bookstore, buy 50 korans and burn them....who cares? they are their books let them do what they want with them.

this has only gotten out of hand because of the attention the media has chosen to give it. that is the only reason why anyone around the world even knows about this. they are to blame for publicizing such a moronic event. they put the spot light on him and handed him the microphone, as if they wanted this to blow up into some gigantic world-wide scandal.

furthermore... how can the president, petraeus et al actually tell him that burning this book will endanger lives? sure, that might happen...but what about all the lives they put in danger? who started this war? who continues it? who sends drones into pakistan and constantly kills civilians? i think these things put soldiers' lives in a great deal more peril than burning a god damned book in florida! if there were no soldiers there in the first place, they would all be much much safer.

and unfortunately, because everyone is caught up on the idea of hate speech and the further curtailing of our liberties, no one is asking these questions
