sandorski sandorski: Wasn't a Fan, but whenever I heard one of his songs I always(9/10 times) enjoyed hearing them. You can't deny his Talent or his Influence on the Music Industry. Which is different than being a musical genius, as some would have us believe of Mikey. The same could be said of Madonna. She was/is(to a degree still) a major influence on the industry, not necessarily the music.

ShepherdsDog ShepherdsDog: raydan raydan: Michael and Elvis will have a real laugh over this when they meet for coffee and croissants every Tuesday morning. Don't think so. Elvis was a doughnut guy and he's likely got a pair of steel toed boots on, and is asking Mikey the Molestor what he thought he was doing marrying his daughter. Isn't that the daughter that switched to women after divorcing MJ?

if she did, it likely wasn't much of a transition.

ASLplease ASLplease: Bodah Bodah: I can respect what he did musically, he basically was responsible for the creation of MTV. But never was a fan of his music.
Kurt Cobain, now there's a legend that turn the music industry on its ass. I think Kurt Cobain should not be worshiped because he took the easy way out of life, he is a coward and a loser for commiting suicide...but I suppose that is another thread. To even compare Cobain and MJ in the same term as legend is an insult. Cobain, is a 'legend' in alternative/rock/stoner circles...end of story.

$1: The same Michael Jackson who once told a reporter it was “sweet” and “charming” to sleep with little boys and ply them with “Jesus Juice” (known to lucid people as “wine”) has been deified. Jackson, who dangled one of his babies off of a hotel balcony also obtained those children via a bizarre and labyrinthine arrangement, named one of them Blanket and made them wear burkas

Why? Should someone like Bernardo, Olsen, Manson be spoken of respectfully when they die too? Can we not insult Dahlmer? This guy was a kiddy diddler, not some kind of saint, that some whacked people are making him out to be. Respect is earned and his years of molesting kids don't garner him any respect, not even after giving one 30 million to shut up.

I simply feel it's bad karma. I didn't rejoice when Dahmer got killed in prison, and I won't now that MJ is dead.

The guy was a skinner. Plain and simple, as is mike tyson, and tupac shakur. Anything, and everything about these scumbags was banned from my home while my kids were growing up. Saying anything positive about or in defense of such garbage says a lot about the morals and character of the 'poster'!

QBall QBall: QBC QBC: At the time when he made his "best" music, and I use that term very lightly, there was a lot of ground breaking going on. His video Thriller was debuted on "Friday Night Videos" on NBC, well before the advent of Much and MTV.I know this cause a bunch of us from school got together to watch it. It was kinda cool and for the most part, just long. All video's were ground breaking at that time, they were such a new media and the only place you could watch them was...Friday Night Videos. The opinion of the time, amongst the high school kids around Vancouver anyway, cause I was DJing high school dances at the time and you get to know what people like most by the hundreds of requests you get a night, was it was shite. Very few MJ requests ever came in and when one did and it was played, often it was met with jeers or boos. He was nothing more then an eccentric....one rhinestone glove not withstanding. I'll take your opinions of a bunch of brats in Vancouver back in the 80's (who's opinion has probably changed as they got older) and counter with 750 million albums sold (that will probably get a boost after his death) and 13 grammys. MJ set trends and influenced (and continues to) artists and how the music business was ran. There was no other video when Thriller came out that could be considered ground breaking, none. Thriller took the music video from a tool to promote songs to an art form. You can say what you want about the man and his personal life, but to try and dismiss his global influence on the music industry and his work (especially considering he wrote his own work) is just ignorance. So because he was famous, being a pedophile was just one of his quirks? Sorry the man was in the same league with the fat twisted old men who violate children, he was a pedophile first - last and always. Simply dismissing his penchant for abusing children because he sold music is no excuse

bootlegga bootlegga: No matter what you thought of his actions, I feel speaking ill of the dead is simply poor taste. Anyways, here's an awesome viral thriller video; http://ca.video.yahoo.com/watch/857193/3498139Ill speak ill of him He was a child abusing prick and my only hope is theat when his heart attack started that he was in excruciating pain for as long as possible. Iy's no more than what a pedophile deserves
