It was funny when she did her campaigning by train last time, she only made appearances at places with VIA rail stations, I think her campaign went broke before the election was over. :lol:

That's probably why the Green Party didn't elect anyone.. the rails don't go to nearly as many places as a bus can. It was a gimmicky idea, even if it was altruistic in encouraging people to use alternate forms of transportation, but it would have been a better idea if the party had some ground it could afford to lose.

They did it by train because they didn't have the deep war chests the other parties had. They also did fairly well in the polls because they managed to get exposure in the debate. Not well enough to elect anyone mind but for a national party without a very significant budget it wasn't half bad. Mae is someone who at least tries to practice what she preaches. So far this campaign apparently she's not gone very far. Only to places she's been able to reach in her hybrid car and by taking ferries.

The greens will currently only have a chance in areas where environmentalism is already fairly strong (Mostly in BC). I hope to see at least one seat in the house this time around but I'll be the first to admit it's a faint hope.
