And I think we can all agree that Steven Truscott should burn in hell.

Seriously though, the SIU is a good solution to allowing good cops to use deadly force without the ignorant peaceniks crabbing about fascist police states. If somebody is willing to risk their lives to fight the crazy bugger with the machete, there ought to be more than just legal protection for him. I'd like to think that once reviewed, we can go back to honouring cops who do a good job in the face of risk and harm.

Afterall, nobody conscripted that cop to go out there and risk his neck, he volunteered to do it so we don't have to.

*EDIT WAS FOR MORE THAN TRUSCOTT JUST BURNING IN HELL*

Cops are just people,no different then anyone else, their not immune to the pressures of society.
That said there is an old boys network that gives cops a bit more leeway then the ordinary Joe or jane when they get into trouble and most of it's not documented.

I had my run ins with the law as a kid and saw first hand what kind of strings can be pulled.

I also have had a cop scanner for many years and some of what I hear still shocks me.

EyeBrock EyeBrock:

Just checked your website link Mr Anti-cop with a whole 5 examples over 4 years of 60,000 cops working. You can't spell mate. "rememeber"? By the way what's 5 examples of 60,000 time 4 years as a percentage? I'm a bit lacking in the math area....

Lol your so funny, how many cases do you need, the truth hurts I know. Never claimed to be a good speller there chief
