saturn_656 saturn_656: Blue_Nose Blue_Nose: saturn_656 saturn_656: How dare you suggest that western culture to superior to others around the world! RACIST! BIGOT! Your sarcasm aside, I never said that. So which which culture were you implying to be superior? I wasn't specifically making the point that any culture was more advanced than any other - the point I made, that you missed, is that the differences we see are cultural, not racial. Centuries ago the Aztecs were an "advanced" civilization - the fact that that's changed isn't because something has happened to genetically to Mexicans, but because of their culture.

saturn_656 saturn_656: Brenda Brenda: not necessarily, no. Any real world examples where "advanced but not superior" applies? Yeah, of course. Anyone with more education then I have is supposed to be "more advanced" then I am, yet they are absolutely not superior to me, thank you very much

I guess I am just too arrogant to find anyone superior to me. Then again, I am humble enough to not be superior to anyone either.

Blue_Nose Blue_Nose: I wasn't specifically making the point that any culture was more advanced than any other - the point I made, that you missed, is that the differences we see are cultural, not racial. Well that is a given so... $1: Centuries ago the Aztecs were an "advanced" civilization - the fact that that's changed isn't because something has happened to genetically to Mexicans, but because of their culture. The Mexicans of today are not the same group of people (genetically, culturally, or otherwise) that inhabited the Aztec Empire.

I've seen enough idiots with Masters degrees and Ph.D's to feel safe in saying that.

Pimpbrewski Pimpbrewski: Brenda Brenda: Immigration has nothing to do with this topic anyway. It is just another insult, and very easy to spout if you are too dumb to understand my point, and have no other way of trying to get your way.
Don't let it bother you Pimp, I know who says stupid shit like that, and it is only another way of making a fool out of himself. I know, everyone is entitled to state their opinions. There is no need to resort to insults. bah. Well Brenda, now you can put your money where your mouth is. The mother is looking for donations for a lawyer. (...or more drugs) To give them donations to help them to get a good lawyer, through Paul From : Canadian Association for Free Expression Box 332, Rexdale, Ontario, M9W 5L3 Ph: 905-274-3868; FAX: 905-278-2413 Look, if this was about religion, Islam, Catholic, whatever then I wouldn't have such a problem with it... Nevertheless, drawing swatikas on a child and sending them off to school. What did the mother expect to gain by doing this? As far as this whole thread is concerned, the Canadian gov't says that it is illegal to discuss matters concerning minors.

You really should learn how to read, sweets...

Now you imply that anyone with an above average intelligence is superior to anyone with an average or below average intelligence. And that is something I cannot agree with.

Brenda Brenda: What gave you the impression that I agree with her actions? You really should learn how to read, sweets... Brenda Brenda: Why? Is your way of thinking the only correct one? She can draw butterflies on her arm (cuz that is cute), but not Swastika's? Then it is abuse? You could see it as freedom of opinion...
Everybody raises his kids differently, and your way of raising them might not be exactly like hers (I hope) but does it make her way wrong? You didn't really clarify that you disagreed, rather you drew a comparison between butterflies and swatikas as some harmless symbol.

As you wish, but I can't convince myself that Albert Einstein or Stephen Hawking were not any better than the goof off in my math class that couldn't grasp multiplication or division and couldn't spell to save their life. Some people are simply superior when it comes to certain areas of life. Denying this is simply foolish.

You didn't really clarify that you disagreed, rather you drew a comparison between butterflies and swatikas as some harmless symbol. It is about having her kids taken away from her. I don't agree with that, and I think I have said more then enough times that I don't like what she did. She did not abuse her kid, she raises it in the way she thinks is the right way, just as you and I do. (not together, before people get weird ideas ) It is definitely not my way, let that be clear.

Brenda Brenda: She did not abuse her kid, she raises it in the way she thinks is the right way, just as you and I do. (not together, before people get weird ideas ) It is definitely not my way, let that be clear. We agree to disagree. I think drawing swastikas on your child and sending them to school is abuse. You are placing your child or children in a combative environment to be rediculed by their piers. Coupled with the fact that the mother is alleged to have drug and alcohol abuse issues, then yes the children should have been removed from the home. Even without the latter, drug and alcohol abuse, I still think the children should have been removed. Futher to this thread, I make a public apology for critizing your Canadian patriotism. That was uncalled for. Sorry.
