Sometimes trolling only needs pointing out, not a rebuttal.

All that "well meaning" advice from the other provinces that are so well run really isn't wanted anyway.

DrCaleb DrCaleb: Sometimes trolling only needs pointing out, not a rebuttal. Since when are facts considered trolling? What are you, the Rebel Media Network?

See, right there! Trying to get a an emotional response from people with asinine remarks like that, or "It's really our oil, we'll take it back now thanks". Classic trolling.

The real truth, beside Error 404, is the 1982 Constitution act. That pesky document always creeps up. You know, the part where Natural Resources are Provincial Matters?

DrCaleb DrCaleb: The real truth, beside Error 404, is the 1984 Constitution act. That pesky document always creeps up. You know, the part where Natural Resources are Provincial Matters? The same documents that don't set forth a manner in which you can pack up your toys and leave confederation because you threw a tantrum? So we'll honour the Indian Treaties and BNA that gave Alberta those resources in the first place. Ignore the rules that entered them into confederation. Uphold the 1930 Alberta Act, and selectively uphold the Constitution. You know how else wants selective special treatment? Children. Now pay your taxes like every other adult Canadian has their entire lives.

Alas, the 1984 Constitution act repealed a bunch of those pesky things you cite, including the 1930 Alberta/Saskatchewan Acts. Just keep sinking your hard earned tax money into ineffective cleptocracies like most sheep in Canada do.

And it didn't give you the right to leave Confederation because you feel entitled to a perpetual 15% tax discount no other Canadian receives - even when the price of your precious magic oil has plummeted. Welcome to adulthood. You're not special. You never were. Now pay your taxes.

You should try not wasting 40% of your income on governments that do nothing to uphold your interests!

well Doc we are on the same page when it comes to taxes. Now that I have restructured and created a corporation my personal tax burden will be cut by about 50%. After paying a quarter of a million between my wife and I last year we decided to let the whiners pay for things now.
