What people are missing here is the how the aggrieved people were treated. The gay couple in Colorado were politely told that the owner wouldn't bake them a cake because of his religious beliefs he didn't follow them to another bakery and carry on haranguing them. What happened to Ms Sanders was nothing more than thug like intimidation and any comparison that the two situations are the same is disingenuous. The only thing the same is the right to refuse service after that there's nothing similar between the two situations.
As far as I'm concerned the refusal to serve Ms. Sanders was well within the rights of the owner of the Red Hen but, when she decided to disregard the bounds of common courtesy and respect for others by moving their hate filled road show and disrupting someone else's property just so they could vent their displeasure they not only lost the moral high ground they became nothing more than provocateurs intent on intimidating, embarrassing and harassing a person who's political views they didn't agree with.

So nobody wanted to create a meal for ms. Sanders.
Hmm maybe They need to follow starbucks lead and close for a day for sensitivity training to prevent right wing snowflake hurt feelings
To be honest, I expect better from you than this. The very fabric of society is unraveling before us with this type of behavior. We have already had one civil war, we do not need another one. This every one for themselves way of thinking is BS. Are we going to have to put red and blue symbols on all of our businesses and establishments to show who is allowed to do business? Where does it end? Can airlines deny passengers? Car rentals? Concert halls and sporting venues? I would not close her down for one day for reflection. I would shut her down permanently to make an example out of her. I would yank her liquor license and business license. I would do the same to any business that refused to serve minorities or gays. I would nip this shit in the bud right now. If you are open to the public than you are open to ALL of the public. You do not get to pick and choose your customers, they choose you. Ms. Sanders side has made it standard fare to call Obama the N word, Hillary the C-word, spread outrageous lies like Pizzagate, Uranium One, etc. And that’s in addition to regular attacks on the very foundation of democracy and open society. So Sanders couldn’t get someone to make her a sandwich, didn’t you just tell me SCOTUS ruled you can’t ve compelled to create things?

We also had the last several years featuring things like Chik-Fil-A, Hobby Lobby, and pseudo-Christian florists & bakers having their right to not be very decent or civil towards employees or customers they don't like confirmed by the courts on the basis of freedom of speech, freedom of association, and freedom of religion. Yet some restaurant tosses one of the uglier members of the Trump junta out on the grounds of morals and conscience and the right-wing wants them shut down (or burned out) for "not being very nice". Typically two-faced of them. Nauseatingly typical but completely unsurprising. That they want to deny the same rights to the owners & employees of the Red Hen and any other anti-Trump business while engaging in those same rights themselves to a vicious degree is just par for the course. All for them, none for anyone else in it's most banal Trumpian form is their own recognizable credo or value. I recommend any Trump restaurant anywhere for those who are mad at Red Hen or any other business that won't take the money of Trumpers. Chow down on Trump steaks. Drink some Trump wine. Hopefully their luck in dodging the salmonella and e-coli lasts a very long time for them before it inevitably gets them.

Trump -loving snowflake crybabies can’t take even a drop of their own medcine. They spend every second of every day spewing the worst bile about anyone who doesn’t join their jihad and yet get all hurt feelings if someone even looks at them funny.
What a bunch of whiny little thin-skinned bitches!

Too many of them are the most gutless "tough" guys that have yet crawled out of the sewer. All macho when they're against someone that can't fight back, then turn into the most pathetic squishes the second someone reverses their own damn ugly game at them.

So Sanders couldn’t get someone to make her a sandwich, didn’t you just tell me SCOTUS ruled you can’t ve compelled to create things? Her side? She owns it all now does she? Kind of like at my job when the maintenance dispatcher tells me that a bunch of MY air conditioners are on the fritz. I always tell her that when I sign her check, or she sees my name on the side of the building, than she can call them mine. I am working on equipment that was installed during the Carter Administration. I just work there, I don't own shit. If I left today some other shlep is going to be chasing parts that they quit making 20 years ago. Did you ever hear Ms. Sanders use the n word? How about the fact that she was the national campaign manager for the ONE Campaign? https://www.legalmatch.com/law-library/ ... rvice.htmlThe majority of their work is in Africa. Does that sound like a position that a racist would have? Her side? Give me a break. Ms. Sanders is responsible for her behavior, and no one else's. We have posters on this forum (from your side) calling for the assassination of the President. We have one volunteering to do the job himself, and you want to talk about attacks on the foundation of democracy? Is that not YOUR side saying those things? Should you be held responsible for those remarks that were made on this very forum? Should you be refused service at establishments? They do not serve sandwiches at the Red Hen. Its considered fine dining. They get nine dollars for a brownie there. Its not art. She was not asking for anyone that was not on the menu, or anything that was not available to any other diner.

Here's some other examples from history of what the pearl-clutchers consider to be "civil": Distributed by the John Birch Society two days before Kennedy went to Dallas: What the Tea Party was doing from 2010 through to 2016: This is their Dear Leader. It speaks for itself: No, the owner of a restaurant having the complimentary cheese tray taken away from Hucksterbee was the worst act of incivility ever seen in, like, all of history. It's like watching the fish jump into the barrel of mega-hypocrisy knowing they're about to get shot.

$1: Her side? She owns it all now does she?
She is the spokesperson for one of the most contemptible people ever to occupy the Oval Office. So yeah, she owns that.

She is the spokesperson for one of the most contemptible people ever to occupy the Oval Office. So yeah, she owns that. She is the spokesman for the President. The President was lawfully elected to be the President of the United States. He WON the election. Your opinion of him is irrelevant. You do not get to throw out the rule book just because your side lost. I do not recall members of the Obama admin being refused service at eating establishments do you? All this talk about about bakers, florists, etc. like somehow that is on Trump's doorstep. Obama was in office when all that shit was going on. It has SFA to do with Trump.

Great column here: https://www.esquire.com/news-politics/p ... -civility/$1: This debate is stupid. It’s also dangerously beside the point. SarahHuck is the lying mouthpiece of a lying regime that is one step away from simply hauling people off in trucks. That she was politely told to take her business elsewhere is a small step towards assigning public responsibility to public officials that enable a perilous brand of politics. There are bigger steps to be taken, but everyone in official Washington is too damn timid to do what really needs to be done about this band of pirates.
So, Sarah, since I know it is hard for you to understand even short sentences, I’ll put it as briefly as I can: Take a hike. This is where too much civility to the fucking monsters who choose to warehouse children in dog kennels in the desert after they've taken them hostage from their parents eventually leads to:

On that we agree. She is his spokesperson. She represents his views to the American public in a slightly less abrasive manner. So she is fair game both as a public figure and as a member of Trump's administration. Also, Biden was kicked out of a bakery in 2012. https://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/08/22/va-baker-is-in-the-spotlight-at-ryan-rally/?mtrref=t.coShe is fair game for editorials, blogs, comments on chat rooms, etc. That is free speech. I fully support every one's right to say whatever they wish about her. Throwing her out of an establishment that is open to the public is another matter altogether. Do you really want to live in a society that is that divided? I remember a story a few months back about a restaurant in California that did not want to serve cops. Should that be allowed? I don't think so. Good find on the bakery! Kind of strange that both of these stories about politicians being refused service happened in Virginia. I was under the impression that Virginia was a lot more middle of the road than that.

Love that Trump gif waving his hands about, looking like the retarded Hitler he is.
His supporters don't even realize the whole kiddie gulag thing will be known as his "jump the shark" moment. Crossed the line of decency of almost everyone with that. And what does he do? Space Cadet distraction, then doubles down and says fuck any Constitution let's remove judges, hearings trials, calls them vermin, invaders. Today he announced a plan to protect us from celestial disaster. Yeah, his followers will buy putting nukes in space just in case The Asteroid comes....
