The dippers would like to circumvent this law, by hoping for an election, and then hoping again they may be in a position to change the law.

The answer is no, the NDP has never ignored a Canadian law that you know of.

That is all for now. Thanks.

The federal NDP have never been in an official capacity to enact, ignore or apply any Canadian laws so it's a moot point isn't it?

Any of us is free to ignore any law we like.. We won't get away with it for very long, unless you're the PM though. I only just found that out by the way. Steveie came ripping around the track on the ATV there and announced he can do whatever he likes.

Most Canadians find the fact that these US volunteers deserted during wartime distasteful. They have let themselves, their families, their Unit’s and their country down. They will have a life of disgrace without honour.

t’s a very different proposition to the drafted or about to be drafted Americans deserting during the Vietnam War. I don’t condone that but I can see why they did it and I had/have some sympathy for them.

These on the other are just cowardly deserters, nothing else and those supporting them have no morals or sense of duty. The deserters should be in a military prison and then given the dishonourable discharge they so richly deserve.

It's easy for NDP mouth-pieces like Chow to say this stuff, they can say anything they want and the more radical and loony-left it is, the better. Chow’s radical constituents embrace anything that is remotely far-left of centre and I’m sure the rest of them just vote for her because she is like them, Chinese.

Having zero chance of ever getting power means Olivia and Jack can say any old bollocks they want to as they will never have to do anything about it except rant and preach to the far-left crowd that idolizes them.

Zero political responsibility is great thing for the radicals like our Federal NDP.

Curtman Curtman:
A Canadian court ordered the Canadian government to intervene. What is complicated about that? The American courts have nothing to do with it.

It's not, but our courts have no business interfering in the justice system of a sovereign state by ordering our government to do it. Especially when that state gave him a fair and partial trial.

A Canadian judge ordered the government to intervene. Who voted that judge in?

Hahaha... Okay. When the Americans stop interfering in other countries, the favour will be returned.

The Canadian government is required by Canadian law to seek clemency though. Maybe some day we can start a thread about whether it should or should not be that way. But it is. Get over it.

It's not complicated, it's pointless and a waste of time and resources.
Question. How many Canadians on death row in the US have we successfully got back into Canada to serve time here since we refused to extradite the mass murderer Charles Ng back to Cali?
And while Harper (re:Canada) may be obligated to intervene, the US isn't obligated to give a rat's ass what we want in this case.
In their view, a foreigner murdered two US citizens on US soil. And dumbass was dumb enough to commit murder in one of the very few states left that still has the death penalty.
And on the flip side of this complete mental retardation, we have the left saying the deserters will have the right to stay here if they have anything to say about it. What a bunch of ignorant, hypocritical clods!
Think about this Curtman, "We demand you send back the Canadian on death row in the US, but we're gonna let the deserters stay here and not force them back to the States".
Wanna tell me why again, Canada should even bother intervening with that fucked-up line of thinking?

I noticed that Curtman also completely ignored the rest of my post concerning William Sampson. Really burns when his beloved Liberals are guilty of the same "crime" he rails on the Conservatives about, doesn't it?

Maybe those living in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

You might notice that I didn't defend the Liberals either. But if it makes you feel any better.. William Sampson is alive and well.
