Wolverine served with the Canadian Army in various units (not with the US)... I ain't even a Marvel fan and I know that.

Wrong, he served with Captain America and was part of the CIA. He has bounced back and forth across the border. He served with Team X for instance, which was an American Black ops team.

The CIA is not the same as the American Army, Wolverine was never an American soldier, most of his service was with the Canadian Army or Canadian intelligence.

He definately wasn't an American soldier at the Normandy landings.

He was Canadian at Normandy definitely, but that doesn't mean he never wore an American Uniform. And one could argue that fighting the Nazi's alongside Fury, Cap, and the Black Widow is pretty much making him an American soldier. I'm not saying what happened in the movie is right, it isn't. But saying he never served under the US is wrong, saying he never served as an American soldier is wrong.

Ruez is just going to have to see it for himself, then we can all say we told ya so.

Maybe, but I like movies that entertain me. Details don't really ruin a movie for me. I enjoyed the last Indiana Jones even though it was no where as good as any of the last three.

The Fox News Columist, in the link tells me all I need to know about their opinion.

Really? You're that close minded?

RUEZ RUEZ:
I'm not defending it, just saying save your reviews until it's been officially released. When all editing and whatnot is finished. Then if it sucks it sucks. Editing is very important in a movie.

Editing will do nothing to the story this late in the game. How is that so hard to comprehend?

Being a CIA spook is not the same as being a soldier, maybe its semantics.

Regardless they made a $50 or $60 million dollar movie and couldn't even get the basic shit right.

Considering what their track record has been of late and the fact this is a FOX movie. I dont think much of their opinion at all.

That pretty much sums up your disapproval. So the 90% of the people that dont' read comics who go to this movie will enjoy it.

He wasn't working for the CIA when he was working with Fury and Cap.

Yeah, maybe. Doesn't matter though, they have ruined 3 characters.

If it is a commodity and you fail to secure it are the cops to blame for your loss?

This makes no sense. The people who stole this movie were not the police, they were the criminals. Any perceived injustice aside, the law states that if you STEAL something, you're a criminal. Plain and simple. Whoever stole this version were breaking the law.

If I had a house and in the house I had stuff. Now, if that house had a door and I went to work and LEFT THE FUCKING DOOR OPEN then what would you say if I got ripped off when I came home? You would say I deserved to be robbed because I had taken no due diligence.

Now, in this instance the studio was lax because they had absolutely zero security on site and they even had the the work outsourced to other contractors and they had zero onus as well. The egg is on their face but as you can see from this thread and the reviews so far it is also possible they wanted it to leak so they could have a scape goat when the flic flops as it is a dud anyway. This 'early release' has had the bonus PR of the film going viral.

Was Fox behind the leak?

$1:
By the way, I’m still fairly convinced that someone in Fox Studios deliberately leaked “Wolverine.” If it does badly, they can blame its failure on piracy rather than the months of bad buzz it’s been getting. The fact that they’re already adding reshot and cut footage says that they’re paying attention to the negative reaction the film got from those who viewed it, which means it may do better in the end. Imagine that–listening to the viewer, rather than criminalizing them. What a concept!

Well I saw the online version and except for filling in some of the CGI and editing out the wires for the stunts it looked like a done deal, and seeing is it's going to be released this month I'd be guessinfg what was seen on line and what appears this month will be pretty much the same. Isaw it as live streaming from the site I use, so I didn't have to download, which is a pain.

That's basically what I thought still needed to be done. Terrible.

I thought it was an interesting insight into how they make these movies. It didn't detract from the actual story....wait a sec, what was the story?
