Good night all. Hope to continue our nice conversation tomorrow, same time same place.

Me too. Sleep it off, then come back with something more substantial than the prepubescent slop you've served so far.

Ottawa ought to stop Regional Developement. Quebec gets $$ and wants to leave, Alberta gets $$ and wants to leave, Newfoundland gets $$ and wants to leave. It's as if they all think they did it themselves when something pans out.

Well to be correct, few people in Alberta want to leave.

You'd better check your stats on that. The rumblings are louder than you think.

That's pure bullshit dude. The only rumblings are in your head, give it a shake.

Its Danny Williams whispering in his ear.

Williams is doing just fine my combative friend. He has struck a sweet deal with Hebron, he is pushing ahead with the Lower Churchill development and he has evoked a sense of cohesion among the populace like no premier before him, in any province. Combine that with the Hydromet smelter in Long Harbor, the growing aquaculture industry, the existing offshore oilfield development, the rich mineral industry and Newfoundland and Labrador will do just fine, thank you very much. You, on the other hand can have another beer.

Then what are you bitching about?

when life doesnt seem so grand blame Alberta, blame Harper(he's from Alberta)and blame the west.
Typical whiner, glad most of them dont come to Alberta to work,we seem to get the good hard working honest guys here.

MTpockets should also do his homework or read a paper some day....Alberta is a gas province, more then oil.
I have to laugh whenever I hear the ignorance from the Alberta haters.
Gas guys,not oil.

Good morning. I see the 'old boys club' is out swinging in full force. Warms the cockles of my heart.

Ziggy, I call bullshit on your bullshit. Do I have to go back through your past postings and expose your separatist leanings? That's ok though. No surprise here as this country is made up of a bunch of little mini countries that fight and scratch for their piece of the pie. And don't patronize me with your 'hard working honest guys' comment. We're no more hard working and honest than the next Canadian. We'd just rather be doing it for our province and not yours. According to a previous post though, you'll soon be sending us home to the rock in droves. Nice system huh? Help Alberta during the good times. But when times are tough send them back home to stress out the local social system, placing further debt on the NL economy. And so the cycle continues...

Yeah, you keep harping on this gas vs oil thing. I'm not disputing the fact that gas is a major component of your economic engine.

Me? I didn't send them anywhere. They come and go as they please. Try to stay focused. Perhaps the many job fairs that pop up at the Newfoundland Hotel might have something to do with it. Alberta really does a good job at recruiting from depressed areas of the country.

Oh look. A politician reneging on his previous commitments. Williams is learning a lot from Harper.

What's your beef with that? You guys don't want to work or what? You'd think you'd welcome potential employers with open arms.

The system is designed to keep parts of this country down and other parts living the high life. That's a fact.

A fact is something you can prove. So prove it.
