Exactly. I think people put too much into party politics and think the whole system turns on a dime every time a different party comes to power. Most of the time, it doenst matter what party is in power, they all have to answer to the same masters in the end and so policies of governing parties are often more similar than different. This isnt to say that parties wouldnt like to turn the system on a dime when they seize power, its just that the reality of this society is that they can not without losing office in the next election. They know who the entrenched interests are and what side of the bread gets buttered.
