sandorski sandorski:
raydan raydan:
23 years in suits.
Always 6 of them in my closet along with about 15 dress shirts, as many ties, 3 belts and 3 pairs of dress shoes.

I'm SO glad I changed jobs.
I'm wearing jeans and sneakers today.

American Psycho would approve.

Wore suits to work only.
I hated them those 23 years, still do.
I have NO suits in my closet now (at least none that still fit).

Who care's what "They" say, wear what you want and don't let F&^%in fashion rule, too many are absorbed in fasion which is why kids are buying $100 jeans and $60 t-shirts. it's stupid.
From Junior High school on I shoped at the Salvation Army or Value Villiage and didn't give a shit what others thought of my clothes (admuittedly I was into the punk though so...)
Somthing eles I noticed in passing here, there are more comments on this forum about fashion than there are on any of the stories on the news page about bullying, sexual assault, pirating music, cloning glowing puppies ect... I guess priorities take over.

Just kidding Brenda.

I'm a guy, I'm not supposed to remember stuff like that.
But I thought that all mothers knew this instinctively.

Goodwill is the best way to go. You can find sweet stuff other than just clothes in there. A friend of mine found a matching set of classy leather-cushioned bar stools for less than a hundred bucks that would have been several hundred otherwise. Go go helping the poor!

Since I retired, I now have a drawer full of grey sweats and t-shirts from Marks. Jeans are my new “business casual” out of the house mode of dress now.

Jeans are really a staple and I expect they always will be. I can remember the Lee versus Levi brand battles when I was in university. Anything else was considered trash. Of course that’s when a new pair might have cost $20. The idea of paying hundreds for what someone else considers fashionable for “JEANS” is a little strange.
