Plus, I think Canada needs to win some fucking medals at home.

I don't care about the map. I care about Canada finally setting their own records for itself.

I care about the issues Vancouver has that the rest of Canada could careless about...The olympics are a joke...the athletes are amazing and I would never take that away but the IOC is a waste of time. I dont feel like paying for games that the average family could never go to...waste of taxpayer money.

With any big event it brings out protesters..its a good way to get seen on TV...but this area is going to be a police state during that time...so as for the olympics bieng held hostage, thats a little extreme and a ridiculous idea.

Come on out for the games...its in Vancouver and Whistler...I would rather see other people from Canada coming out then anyone from out of country.

Wow . You are Mr. Canada. I don't know if I've ever seen anyone more wishy washy. You waffled through about 3 different positions there.


This isn't Ontario and the connedction between the natives and the addicts is thin because they are often the same, except with a poorer PR budget. We've had blocades and they are usually settled without violence and I believe this is due to the fact that our natives are a more thoughtfull, less militant lot. That said, the stakes are huge and there's a huge ammount of international media they can soak up.
The present government is desperate to buy them off but I doubt that will work. Gordo has been a big POS with his green tax and everyone outside of Kits is pissed at him. No one hopes he loses the election but if he does, the NDP will screw us up again and we'll plumit to the bottom once again.

Beware of the evil protesters!! They got bats, send in the Army!! They now upgraded to Machine Guns, send in the tanks!! They not some how got tanks, evil protesters in tanks!! Send in the Airforce!!. One quick strike at the evil protesters will not only kill them, but other innocent Canadian Civilians, Yay!!. Collateral damage though to get rid of those pesky evil protesters.

I swear to god, this is such a over-kill on defense for one event that it isn't even funny. China has really over-killed there defense for the olypmic games but yeah thats China. They surounded the city with new Anti-Aircraft Missle guns, scrambled a ton of jets, + APC's, Tanks, and a lot of troops around the building and city. If you diddn't know any better, it was Area 51 in China but nah. Its just the olympic games.

I can see Canada having troops present, but APC's, Tanks and Jets is a overkill.

Yes they were taken surprise because their training was for Air Attacks coming outside from United States Air Space not from within so on 9/11 NORAD was caught with it's pants down..
