That's not true.

At numerous demonstrations against Trump the left blocked roads and beat on any cars that attempted to get past them. In this circumstance the leftists were illegally marching and they blocked what was an open public street. Had there been permits the street would have been blocked and police would have redirected traffic - note that there were other vehicles caught in the illegal march.

That said, I personally do not give one single fuck about the woman who died. She was in the street illegally and she was supporting a violent assault against people who, like them or not, enjoy the same rights as everyone else to peaceably assemble.

Fuck her, fuck the left, and fuck the Democrats who ordered the police to stand down so the thugs could have their way and silence protest against the attack on Southern culture and history.

Why is he there? If it made sense that guys with known tendencies toward violence gets scared because someone thumps on their car and they hit the gas instead of the brake, then I could believe that version of events.

But that is what happened. He comes down the street, slows down, gets hit, takes off
thru the crowd, hits the other car.

That 'scaredy cat' version of events doesn't make sense, given available evidence. If more becomes available, then it might. But right now, given what is known, he tried to kill lefties, then flee the scene. The White Supremacists at his court hearing sort of lead me in that direction.

In the video of the car driving into the crowd, the car is attacked by men with bats. There are pictures of the counter-protesters hitting others with batons.

Nothing about the response from the counter-protesters was peaceful. When you show up with weapons, face coverings and eye protection, you're not there for a peaceful demonstration.
