Only 5 in Italy, but every bloody village has a post office.
No one working, but it is open.

Siesta time .....same in Taiwan. Between elevenish and twoish most offices you went into, including the cop shop and banks, everyone was sleeping. Work crews would throw their ats own on the side walk eat and then have a nap. It was the same in the schools lunch tie meant wolf your chow down and then snooze to 1:30ish for both students and teachers

My dyslexia was working at its best when I fist read the heading to this thread. What I read was the following:
Canada POT to phase out urban home mail delivery
Took me two rereads before I seen the s in the word Post.

Yeah I was thinking WTF they must be trying to start a riot across the whole country if they were going to stop the POT delivery.

Thankful to live in a strata complex in a town house. Nothing will change. Will still get it in the complex box.

Although, I remember when I was living in Northern Virginia for a few months (and they had to-the-door delivery) and how impressed and surprised I was that you can leave letters you want to send stuck out partially through the letter hole on the door, and the next day the mail guy drops off your mail AND picks up the mail you want to send.
It felt so efficient and smart. They never did that here. Instead I've had many instances where I've walked for so long in many neighbourhoods in search of that damn little red box. Should've just gone to Shoppers. Meh.
