Even if they were trespassing on his driveway, is that a reason to call 911. I mean there's people out there that are having heart attacks, or being held up or have a fire in their house that need life-saving attention right away, and buddy's on the phone three times tying up the line 'cause the damn kids re on his lawn. Fucking man up and grow a pair, Ford.
And then to blame it on his daughter? I mean, that just takes a special kind of scumbaggery right there. His daughter was crying because her dad is butt-ugly gutless fat bastard with anger management issues. Hell, I'd be crying too if I drew that straw.

Lemmy Lemmy: Walking up the driveway isn't "wandering all over your property". If Ford asked them to leave, then they became trespassers. Up to that point, they were there with implied permission. You should read the Trespass to Property Act before you go shooting off your yap too much more, especially the line about implied permission to use approach to door. I'd tell you to stick to your forte too, but posting incorrect, ignorant and inflamtory nonesense is your forte, so keep up the good work. The media don't have "implied permission" to step onto your property and ambush you on your property. It doesn't matter if you're in your driveway or on your lawn. The intent was to ambush him in the driveway because he already told them no to an interview request. There's implied permission for people to approach your entrance but that's it. Had the CBC walked up to the front door, knocked and asked to speak to Ford with their show, that's a completely separate matter. It's bush-league. They asked for an interview and were told "no", so they result to ambushing a man at his private residence.

I agree with you that Ford's home was not the appropriate place to have staged this stunt. I've said that twice already. It's bad form, but it's not trespassing. You're trying to make this into something more than it is.

He should have just said that he doesn't watch CBC anyway so he had no idea at all who any of those retards were. Deny them the acknowledgement they were trying to provoke. That's how you can really hurt the egos of the insipid chimps working for MotherCorp.

QBall QBall: Gunnair Gunnair: OnTheIce OnTheIce: You're the only one here with "tinfoil syndrome"...my comments are based on facts, yours are based on speculation and conspiracy theories.
The police chiefs words would be "fact" enough had the Mayor been David Miller or another NDP/Liberal turd, cause it's Ford, he needs to hire Samuel L. Jackson to read the official transcript of the call. Please... post your 'facts' then. Until you have a transcript or recording, you have nothing more than one peron's word. Do you really think the police chief is going to put his career on the line by lying in a public statement? The CBC has nothing to lose so they're free to lie and make up whatever tickles their fancy. No offence to EB here, but guess what, Cops know how to lie too. Transcripts please.

Roe Roe: Rob Ford is a good example of how Cons don't have a sense of humor. Just think of all those right wing comedians.....um.....er....Dennis Miller? Actually, Rob Ford is a good example of how Rob Ford doesn't have a sense of humour - just to avoid the whole sweeping generalizations thing. You know, kinda like saying, your idiotic post is a good example of how leftards can make idiotic posts.

Lemmy Lemmy: OnTheIce OnTheIce: Yes, it is Lemmy. Stick to economics, law isn't your forte.
ANYONE entering your property without your permission is trespassing.
Yes, you allow a certain amount of trespass, like kids selling stuff and the mail man, but that doesn't give every jackass the right to come into your property without your permission. Period.
I can't just show up at your house and wander all over your property because I feel like it. Walking up the driveway isn't "wandering all over your property". Lemmy is right. Under the Ontario TPA anybody can knock on your door, it is implied permission. If Ford has a fence with a gate that has a sign saying 'no trespassing' then you jumping the fence or walking through the unlocked gate with a visible 'no trespassing' sign, then you are trespassing. I've always found Lemmy to have a good grasp on the law even though it's not his field of expertise. Ford and the CBC both look bad out of this.

If the Mayor has nothing to hide with this silly event, release the transcript or the audio. Not releasing leaves everybody to imagine the worst. He's toast anyway, man-up Ford. Cough that you fucked up, authorise the tape to be released and apologise profusely. If you don't this will haunt you forever.

Poker solution sounds good here. Everyone show their hand, let's see who the loser is. Could go either way I guess but my bet is on the CBC sources being full of crap, or at least kind of the truth that became bigger as the rumour of the actual truth grew larger than life.
EB, has TSP ever released 911 tapes to the public in the past?
And walking into a mine field here on this one but was Ford the one pushing those budget cut suggestions that might have (or still might?) cut into Policing numbers in TO?
On the flip side, those who can't fathom a police chief covering a Mayor's ass, well why wouldn't they? The job is highly political and not for someone with a weak gag reflex and I'm sure you don't get their by throwing your boss' under the bus, even if they deserve it.

For me, it doesn't matter what he said on the phone. At worst, it will make him look like an obnoxious, self centered prick that has a high opinion of himself... all qualities we've grown to expect in any elected official. What's really bad is phoning 911... that makes him look like an idiot.
