Zipperfish Zipperfish: Brenda Brenda: Again, keep your dick in your pants then. Or pay child support if you don't want to spend your life with the mother of the kid you made. Oh wait, you don't, or can't, but she has to, because you both were horny, but it is all her responsibility now. It was 100% her choice, therefore it should be 100% her responsibility. It was 100% her choice to not wear a condom? She can't afford the pill anymore, just sayin'.

andyt andyt: All good advice. But who says some of the women who use PP haven't been with the same man for 13 years, but don't want to get their tubes tied?
Take advantage of the free condoms if you're worried about getting pregnant. Should the State be responsible for your individual pleasure factor, just cause your partner doesn't like wearing condoms? Brenda Brenda: So why not both? Why not a form of contraception AND condoms? I don't see the big deal.
And please, do not give me the "the pill causes side effects"-bs to push your point. These women were on the pill, and still would be if they didn't have to pay $100 for them Why? Cost. You have 3 jobs to be done. 1 takes care of all three for a couple dollars. 1 takes care of 1 for 50x the cost of a condom On top of that, promoting the use of condoms will reduce the amount of patients that need drugs for STD's and UTI's.

I've know a few who would be more then willing to take full responsibility as long as the fathers name was not included on the birth certificate and his parental rights were terminated. That to me makes a good trade off. If you don't want the kid and she does then you should be given an opportunity to sign away your parental responsibilities/rights. The child gets her last name and you are willing saying I will not demand visitation rights and agree not to be included in the child's life. Kinda similar to giving them up for adoption.

The problem with just saying keep your dick in your pants or your legs closed is that people will do it anyway. We need more than just putting the responsibility of dealing with unwanted children on these miscreants. Bring back flogging for adultery and a life sentence for women who have children they can't afford to raise. Or use means test - if you can't afford an abortion you have to wear a chastity belt.

You do know that condoms are not 100% safe, right? Just like the pill is not, btw. I have always been taught to use both.

DerbyX DerbyX: Brenda Brenda: Just curious, why did SHE get her tubes tied, while it is a way less invasive (let alone cheaper) procedure for you to undergo? Because the same idiotic chauvinism that demands the women take all the precautions is the one that one that grabs the testicles and screams "NOT MY NUTS"! Ok, I gotta give ya that one

I see this as more of a tax relief for the beleaguered citizens of New Hampshire.

Mowich Mowich: I see this as more of a tax relief for the beleaguered citizens of New Hampshire. The state had voted it in. The 3-men council did not, for religious reasons. You think that is ok? Also, it might be a short term tax relief. But long term, it is the worst decision those 3 morons could have made.

That works for me! I'd have been heartbroekn if a girlfriend of mine had have gotten abortion (and there were a couple of times when we weren't careful). It's not so much that I greive for the unborn, but that I have such a massive ego, I can't imagine that gene pool going to waste.

Mowich Mowich: I see this as more of a tax relief for the beleaguered citizens of New Hampshire. No way that's possible. Every unplanned pregnancy that results from this will cost the state more money in the future from hospital visits and such. Also the same is true for women who rely on Planned Parenthood for cancer screenings and pap smears and all the rest. This misogny will only end up costing the state more in the end.

So is the crimes the kid will commit as he grows up neglected. We push birth control on 3rd world nations, but the US wants to cut back at home. All part of the neo-con plan to 3rd world conditions at home. It's no fun being rich if you can't watch the rest of the country groveling in the dirt.
