Even though I'll never be a fan of province centric based parties, it would be great as far as anglo-franco relations go across the country if the Bloc took an official stand on Quebec independence stating basically the party at this point will no longer be pursuing independence for Quebec and are interested in being part of Canada.

I'm saying that because I know there's alot of Qubecers that aren't separtists but vote for the Bloc because federally they feel that party represents their needs most effectively. If there's enough Quebecers that feel that way then they should voice their opinions to the Bloc.

The problem for other Canadians will always have with the Bloc. Is the independence ideology they still hold. They will always be considered a hostile party and a threat until the party loses that ideologue.

Imagine if the tories stated one day they wanted to get rid of bilingualism and make English the sole official language how would people view a supporter of that party even if they didn't support the end of bilingualism.

Surprised they don't.. the appointed an English speaking person to head official languages offices... smooth move
