Apollo Apollo:
I guess the truth hurts OPP. When I googled racism in Sweden, I got this

Web Results 1 - 10 of about 1,930,000 for racism in sweden. (0.09 seconds)

That's almost 2 million hits.

Maybe you should go to sleep because all you have proven is that you are anti-american and nothing more as you not have addressed a single question. All you do is bring up the LA riots that happened more than 20 years ago yet I can pull off dozens of recent racist articles from Sweden.

Nighty night Johanna.

Becaus of your poor taste in argumental technique and you're refusal to post your sources, I will now put you on my ignore list.

Who's Castro?
He's a sad bookmark in history that should be remembered only as another sad warning against socialism.

In other words you accept defeat as you could not even argue anything past something that happened almost 30 years ago. You got your ass handed to you.

As far as putting me on your ignore list. Although I will certainly lose much sleep over it, I'm sure I will struggle on in life and find some way to go on.

Try not to beat up any blacks on your way to the pub. The local Swedish chapter of the KKK will just be upset that you are taking some of their fun away. [but]

Apollo Apollo:
You sound like you fell asleep 10 posts ago. The LA riots happened over 20 years ago and nothing of the sort has happened since. The US is about to elect a black president.

However, you dismiss what happen 20 years ago.

I'm not dismissing it tritium but you cannot call the US racist for what happened 20 years ago and let off Europe scott free for what is happening today.

You only have to look at OPP's signature to see that he is nothing more than an anti-american zealot.

The French Riots were over Islamism, can you remember any other riots or act of racism in France other than those recent riots?

o.k. back to the United States

Racism against Native Americans

Racism against African Americans
- Slavery and emancipation
- American Civil Rights movement

Racism against Japanese during WWI & WWII

Discrimination against Latin Americans (driving while being hispanic, they all look illegal)

Racism against Middle Easterners and Muslims (since 9/11 - they are all terrorists)

Racism against Homosexuals (Gay bashing, anti-marriage laws)

In fact tritium, what would you think of the CPC if they passed a law banning muslim attire? Would you consider this racist?

Unveiled racism in France
THE LAW banning the wearing of religious symbols came into effect at the beginning of the new school year in France. This law is racist and sexist because it is aimed at young Muslim girls more than anyone else. On top of that, it has resolved nothing: the majority of the school students remove the hijab (veil or headscarf) before they go into school, and put it back on when they leave.

Some supporters of the new law claimed that the girls are all active Muslim fundamentalists and that it was necessary to protect other school students from their influence. Now, the same students are going to school, but without the hijab.

That list is U.S. history.

Sure, racism happens everywhere, but what other country in the world can you make a list of hate and racism over centuries of history.

Just so happens I was living in Windsor at the time of the U.S. riots, and remember the Canadian gov't closing the border that day with Detroit in case the riots spread up north.. they didn't want it to spread into Canada, or at least Windsor.

Are you serious man????

Who enslaved all those Africans? America didn't even exist when Europeans and Arabs enslaved millions of African blacks.

Why do you call it banning?

Rephrase that... Apollo, do you believe that Religion and the State should be seperate.

Should we make a pledge to the flag and God every moring in school? If you say no, then the Separation between Church and State has to apply to everyone.

Therefore, you can not make acceptance for one religion while by saying it's ok to wear a burka or religious dress, but you can not put a picture of Jesus or a Cross on the wall of a city, provincial or federal gov't bldg.

Total seperation of Church and State, means TOTAL.

I believe in the seperation of church and state.

However, its well known that France passed this law because of muslim women. This would never go well in Canada or the US.

This is getting tiring as all you have to do is a google search on racism in europe and you will get millions of hits. To claim that the US is the only racist country is ludicrous.

OPP thought he was above all that and it took me 5 minutes to find hundreds of racist attacks in Sweden. Then he left in a huff with egg on his face.

Just a little snippet I found for you Apollo...

IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT.

I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans and Canadians. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others. I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America. Our population is almost entirely composed of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand.

This idea of America and Canada being a multicultural national identity. As Americans and Canadians, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.

We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!

"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.

If Stars Stripes and Maple Leaf's offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet.

We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. These are OUR COUNTRIES, our land, and our lifestyle. Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his or her opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flags, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you to take advantage of one other great American and Canadian freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.

If you agree -- pass this along; if you don't agree -- I don't want to hear about it.

Great "opinion" piece tritium.

How does this prove your point that America is racist?
