Mowich Mowich:
Please give me one reasonable answer as to why the US or any country for that matter should be forced to take in illegal aliens?

Why would I defend an opinion which I have not expressed?

Mowich Mowich:
If these people think their country is such a piece of shit why aren't they staying there and trying to work for change instead of running away?

If it were you in their place, could you? Are you able to affect the change in Canadian society you see needs changing? Could you do it under the threat of kidnapping and rape and violence they endure?

Mowich Mowich:
Do you actually think that this 'caravan' will be the last bunch of illegals to try and get into the states?

Wasn't the first either. The US has a long history of needing these illegals to do their dirty work. We were discussing the 14th amendment the other day. The reason for it was all the African Slaves and Chinese railroad workers, and many others, who were brought to the US to do work, but the law only allowing White people to immigrate and obtain citizenship.

Immigration, legal and illegal, has been an issue ever since.

Mowich Mowich:
If someone doesn't stop it now, others will soon join the hordes.

Why mess with a good thing?

Mowich Mowich:
When is enough - enough?

When there are US citizens willing to work the fields 18 hours a day with no breaks for dollars an hour.

Mowich Mowich:
As for Americans needing someone to clean their toilets - they still have all the illegals Mexicans sneaking into the country to do just that.

And where do you think they came from?

Actually, you did express exactly that opinion and in this very thread.

DrCaleb DrCaleb:
Because of the right's need to deny them entry before they cross at the checkpoint.

You must be reading that different than everyone else who speaks English. Your quote of mine is assuming disqualification of their refugee claim before they ever reach the border. At a legal checkpoint.

I do not express that the US should be forced to accept illegal immigrants. Never have.

If you oppose denying them entry then you support their entry and you support forcing the US to accept these people.

By the way, they're estimated to reach the US at about the same time I'll be taking a holiday at a friend's place along the border. We'll be spending the Thanksgiving holiday there and then staying until December 2nd to help keep an eye on things and perform overwatch.

It isn't illegal to apply for asylum, never has been
they haven't even approached the border yet
so therefore they're not illegal aliens at all.

They won't be aliens until after they cross the border
if they apply for asylum they won't be illegal

Just more fucking lies by the Liar in Chief.

Nope. I can oppose them entering illegally, but support their right and the US's treaty obligation to let them apply for refugee status on entering the US at a border checkpoint. After all, nobody forced the US to sign the treaty. And no one is forcing the US to accept or reject that claim, only consider it.

Given how badly we keep getting beaten up by the ones that believe in absolutely nothing decent at all those of us who were brought up to think that such things were important were obviously raised with one hand tied behind our backs. :|

That is the price of honour and self respect. We can be like them, or we can stand for the things we believe in.

Trump is going to issue an order to end asylum applications at the border or from anywhere inside the USA if the person enters illegally. This was announced yesterday morning as I recall.

Nice edit. No derogatory terms if it's used in the Queen's English?
Do we have to wait until the FCC lets ABC-NBC-CBS use it in Prime Time?

Yeah that's exactly what I'm talking about. He thinks he can just flap his gums change any law he doesn't like, and his lackeys will be happy with it. Divine Right of Presidents.
They'll all clap when Trump's portrait goes up right between Hitler's and Caligula's.

I actually wonder how long until Bart, in specific, finds his name on the undesireables list?

Vets are generally pretty close to the top when the gaze of Sauron fails to find foreign targets to scapegoat.
