Recognizing that their time is up on January 20, 2017, global warming fraudsters have turned the volume up to eleven with fake news that the Arctic is hot at Christmas.

The Arctic is extremely cold, but there is a very narrow band of relatively mild air running along the Prime Meridian across the pole.

Keep in mind I'm not doing anything that complicated. I'm just trying to find the 30C differential and it's not there.

2015 was a warm year. You are not likely to find it if you are comparing to last December, as that was also an anomalously warm winter in the Arctic.

The average temperature around this time of year is around -25 deg C. Now it's around 0, or at least it was a few days ago. I looked at one satellite with air temps and found temperatures around zero.

All that article shows is that there was evidence of climate change back then. And the prediction it made is correct. Ships can sail through the arctic for much of the year where they previously couldn't.

For years I'd use banked overtime to get the hell out of the north over Christmas, too damn cold. Daughter's 31 now doesn't even remember what freezing fog is. Shocked to hear often it would be -40 in Prince George and +10 at Gramma's in New West. She does remember looking out the window at the dips in the snow that were tops of fence posts though.

Had to come in and remove my winter coat shoveling the driveway today. Balmy -6 out there, parka's too much. Must have a whole 4" accumulated so far...
but this is the Internet: how does looking out a window and seeing facts compare to haha emoticons and obscure articles people "believe in" relate with reality?

As to the science.

There is warming. I don't deny that. But how much. How much is added by humans and why do I need to worry about it?

If there is imminent danger, produce it.

If you can do that show me how you or yours could fix the problem. Show me why it's necessary to turn power and treasure over to you and yours.

You can't do or show me any of those things, but that's where the science ends and the scam begins.

Yes there is warming. And yet whenever anybody says that it's five pages of posts throwing the data into disrepute, throwing the models into disrepute, throwing the scientists into disrepute, and posting a bunch of insipid memes all about what a great hoax global warming is.

If your issue is with the proposed policy response, why don't you guys take it up with the policy wonks and the politicians? The right decided to attack science instead--and not just on climate change. On all fronts.
