And there will never be one of those data collection units in my vehicles.

Out of curiosity what kind of vehicles do you own?

Currently, I have a Ford F-150. I just sold my tricked out Mercury Marauder, and am considering several vehicles as a replacement (to trick out more); including a Nissan 240SX (LS3 swap), C4 Corvette (LSX swap) or a tricked out Toyota Aristo (Lexus G30 in North America).

I find driving cars is almost as much fun as building them.

Actually, that is a Citizen's duty. Unjust laws must be openly broken.
See: Ghandi's Salt March.

Unjust laws should be changed by the legally established and accepted methods to change them.

Gun owners in Canada didn't get rid of the LGR by openly breaking the law, they got rid of it by electing a government to change the law.

Pot smokers are not going to get rid of our drug laws by breaking them, they will get rid of them via the political process (maybe).

We should get rid of our census law by politcal means not people saying; "Fuck this law it's stupid I'm not going to follow it."

However, Khawly said he had to acquit Tobias because there was reasonable doubt about her intent. After Tobias testified, Khawly said, he could not be certain that, after more than two years, she was able to accurately tell the court her intent in not filling out the census.

Her intent was to not fill out the form. The reason for not filling out the form is not important.

As for that judges comment about this being a public relations mess; Stick to your own job ass hat. Your job isn't to evaluate the goverment's public relations, and unless you want that to be your job (and the huge pay cut that goes with it) shut your pie hole.

Idiot friend of mine had one of these babies. Got ahold of it in a classic little-old-lady deal that only cost him about $1000. Then the fucker went and got blind stinking drunk about two months later and cut it in half, literally, when he slammed it sideways into a light standard doing about 80 mph. He came out of it without a scratch; the crazy lowlife bastard always has the luck of the devil on his side when it came to walking away consequence-free from stupid things like that. I wanted to kill him on general principles though for committing a crime against a classic piece of American automotive muscle.

That is a crime. The X-100 was a good model!

I always wanted a '63 convertable with the 440 4 speed. Surprising how cheap they can be picked up for, considering it won both NASCAR and Pikes Peak the same year.

Civil disobedience is the established and accepted method. That's why the right to peaceful assembly and the right to protest are in the constitution.

Actually, no. Gun owners protested by not registering. Pot smokers have "420" smoke ins regularally. And the long form census is long gone.

You can actually justify this opinion, even after all the revalations about the NSA collecting data on just about everyone? And once the new NSA data center is fully operational, they won't collect just 'metadata', but record every aspect of everyone's life.

She (and many others) did not fill out the form because she did not want to give her detailed personal information to the US Government. Motive is always important in court.

You just don't have the gene that tells you when not to be a douche, do you?
