DrCaleb DrCaleb:
Out in my back yard, I hear coyotes all the time. There is a subdivision near me, and people are coming by looking for their cats all the time. I often don't have the heart to let them in on reality.

The coyotes don't come on the property anymore since Sasha let them know who the boss is.

We got skunks. My dog is more than happy to run out there and "show 'em who's boss." I'm not so keen on the iedea. If there's one thing I hate, it's dealing with skunked dog late on a weeknight!

We have a growing urban coyote problem in the US these days. Just a year or so back there was a coyote who wandered into downtown Chicago during summer heat.

Clever critter figured out what to do about the heat, too....

Yes, he's inside the cooler!

A Portland coyote figured out an easy way to get around town...

My sister's Scottie attacked one in their back yard one night back in October. The dog had a great time murdering the thing, at least until the multiple baths at the hands of the humans every night for the next week occurred.

She knows the difference between skunk and coyote, it only took one encounter to convince her that skunks could pass through the property without interference.

Smarter than my dog. Although I think last time she took off after something in the yard, she did myserteriously do an about turn. Maybe she is learning.
