Huckabee is certainly regretting his decision now, but I see his point in that he was following the recommendation of the parole board which then didn't keep track of the man. Still, a pretty big black mark on his record.

I'm sure commutation serves a purpose, but for the life of me I don't know what purposes are served other than convenience and politics. Any fine legal minds around? An explanation would be nice.

Huckabee should be held accountable for his decision. Political partisanship should be left out of this.
If Huckabee made a decision to commute/early release this guy he needs to justify why.
