Thanks Derb

Toronto may not lead the country in gang related slaying, but they definitely seem to be near the top of the list of cities that blame Alberta Duck Hunters every time some street punk shoots an innocent person.

Nope. In fact Toronto at least isn't trying to do anything but fight crime as it as a city wants. In fact it seems to be the reverse in that Alberta duck hunters (so to speak) are attacking Toronto (and lets face it Toronto is the city that takes more grief then everyone combined).

As long as they aren't affecting "Alberta duck hunters" then why should they care what Toronto does?

IU remember hearing that there is a definite connection between gang activity and a booming economy. makes sense since the workforce would be newer and perhaps more transient.

I heard something similar. In the past years with the mines "boom" in northern Quebec, there is also a crime boom. My uncle is a judge there and he says crime has gone up 2-3 times at least even if they are not big cities.

So much for the mantra of "poverty drives cime". Organized criminals might start off as poor but their whole purpose is to get rich.

It's different kinds of crime I would say. Crack in Baltimore is not the same as fraud on Wall Street.

The duck hunters weren't in Alberta and they were from Toronto.

They shouldn't be affecting Alberta duck hunters when it's someone else doing the killing in Toronto.
