In answer to your question, Nothing is protecting athiest rights. True that I had heard something to this effect being in place in Ireland already.
Sorry, my Allah bashing was in context with the subject, not really a personal thing.

Praxius Praxius:
Here's a question:

What's protecting athiests and their rights? Will there be an equivilant law put in place to make sure religious people don't take athiest beliefs and offend them or challenge them?

The only thing blasphemous to an Atheist might be Religion itself. So it's kinda hard to apply the Law to them

However a belief in nothing is still a belief none the less

I don't think even religion itself is "blasphemous" to an Athiest. Most of them (myself included) are fine with what others believe, just we have no use for it.

I should reiterate, I'm not an athiest in the common understaning of the word. I believe something created life here weather God or just the Universe/Mother Nature or whatever. I just don't practice in an organized religion so I guess I'm a Non-thiest

I somewhat agree. The vast majority of Atheists are Live-and Let-Live. I was just saying if there was anything Blasphemous, Religion would be the main Suspect.

If you won't visit a country because of stupid half-baked laws it sure eliminates travel plans. I've been to several countries that have weird laws but offer a ton of other things to enjoy. [B-o]

Haven't been there in over twenty years but thinking of going back sometime next year. (And I am a castle buff!) I'll just let lose with some hearty "fuckoffs" and I should be okay.

Scotlands got some wonderful castles also. I missed getting to Ireland when I lived over there but Scotland was really great. Oh, there are a few castles in England as well.
