I went through the patched-up jeans phase in the early 70s.
Every week or so I had to get out the needle and thread and redo the patches.
Learned how to sew with those jeans.

Fewer girls wore jeans at that time.
It was more miniskirts, sundresses (also mini) and hot pants.

No wonder I was so f***ing distracted in class.

I haven't worn jeans in years...probably close to a decade now. I find jeans too cold to wear in the winter and too warm to wear in the summer. The only jeans I have now is a pair of Levi Jean shorts (not Cut-offs) from about 10 years ago. I've always been a big fan of cargo pants, simply because I like a lot of pockets.
Now if Levi made cargo jeans, I'd probably buy them.

The one style I liked in the 80s was camo pants suddenly being popular. Suddenly, I had tons of pockets and cool looking pants to run off into the forest when the Cuban paratroops from Red Dawn landed!
