stemmer stemmer:
IF the EU is so concerned about animal cruelty why don't they try the same policies with China? China has a much worse record then Canada...

Chinese TV has even been known to air TV shows based upon throwing two wild animals into a cage so they will fight (like a grizzly and a lion) and air it prime time... Just search youtube if you don't believe me...

It's much easier to pick on Canada... Europe is more interested in appeasing the Dragon than lecturing it. France in particular used to sell weapons to Taiwan until the Chinese stepped in and gave France the verbal equivalent of a bitch slap.

Think about it. They'e animals, they don't have a Charter of Rights. Who cares if they're clubbed, shot or put down with an air hammer before they make it on your plate?
The seal hunt is something totally "Hudson's Bay" that panders to the wealthy Fashionistas. It's a relic.
If Europe "cares" that much, send the sealers out to capture the cute cuddly things and sennd them to Europe, where they can feed them and pretend they're pets if they want to.

Why doesn't the EU frown upon Norway turning seal hunting into a tourist attraction?

http://www.terradaily.com/2005/05012718 ... gwt7y.html

Sweden engages in seal hunting as do other EU members including Finland, Sweden and Britain.

EU needs to clean up their own backyard before trying to clean up ours...

Typical Euro hypocrisy.....
