Considering how fast jets are, and because of there training and they get mobilized pretty fast. They had more then enough time to respond to the 2nd Airliner, if not then they definetly had enough time to respond to the third one. Third one hit before they even had a single jet off the ground, that was brutal.

However I usually am one who will post Anti-America comments, if it was true. I do gotta say that this is very nice of them. Although we do have a airforce of our own, idk why they cannot handle it. It is additional defense (Although I am not entirely sure why we need defense?) which is great.

NORAD combines both air forces for the defense of north america. if you read the article (which it looks like most haven't here) it clearly mentions that all ROE's in Canada are decided by the Canadian high command. These CF jokes that were popularized in the 90's are really getting old fast. Try doing a little research on the CF in 2008 rather than making pathetic jokes about the military that puts its ass on the line for your right to say anything no matter how retarded it makes you look.

That's not degrading, it's called co-operation. I'm not to proud to accept help from any of our allies if they wanted to offer it. The same as when the Americans accepted our help during Katrina, they clearly have more resources than we do but greatly accepted our help.
