Some people are hoarders, and hoarders never do anything with their stuff... including getting rid of it... they just add new stuff to the pile. I wouldn't be surprised if the inside of the house looks like the outside.

Cheapskates too. Some of them are just such skinflints that they won't pay a penny to have the junk hauled away. Which is sort of understandable in a way, considering that the travel costs for a 5-ton (or more) flatbed hauler to take a broken-down truck or large farming vehicle to the nearest auto wrecker must be astronomical.

No, cuz my buddy has a 5 ton in the backyard and it's broken down too. When he gets around to fixing it he'll clean up. Make space in the front for the fabric building he bought 2 summers ago that he can't put up until he fixes his 1948 Case loader if they ever make parts for those again.
When they do, he just has to move the 1/2 ton wood furnace he got the spring before last and didn't get installed before his wife got pissed and installed a whole new real gas furnace, to get to the tractor.
He just told me about the old Cat he's gonna get started up at a neighbour's she wants only $2000 for. She said for years she sent her hubby out to work on it just to get him out of her hair. Her hubby's been dead more than 15 years. And he bought another 30 year old Dodge for only $3000 but it's a diesel. It "just" needs wheels, a fender, a driver door, new hood and something in the box poked a hole clean through the cab....
hoarder? whatever makes you think that?

Some people can't see the objects they consider valuable only have the worth that someone else is willing to pay for them. If no one wants them, they are worthless.

Just saw a listing for a 1991 tent trailer, didn't know if heater, stove or fridge worked, small tear in canvas one side for %100 more than I paid for our tent trailer new in 1991.......
